West-Island Capoeira is the home of Legado Ancestral capoeira group and is where Mestre Pirata teaches the art of Capoeira and is building his own group of students. It is an extension of the group he is part of in Tiohtià:ke  (Montreal), Equipe Capoeira Brasileira.

Mestre Pirata chose to come to the West-Island area to establish quality capoeira classes and make this afro-brazilian martial art available to this community.
